Eat’n Park Restaurants (www.eatnpark.com) is kicking off its 38th annual Caring for Kids Campaign, running November4 through December 11, 2016, to raise funds for children’s hospitals throughout the region. This year, the campaign is expected to exceed $10 million in total contributions throughout the campaign’s existence. Last year the campaign raised more than $470,000, bringing the lifetime campaign total to $9.8 million.
One of the highlights of the campaign is the Caring for Kids Vehicle Raffle, featuring a 2017 Ford Mustang convertible. For the seventh consecutive year, Neighborhood Ford Store has partnered with Eat’n Park to donate the brand new vehicle, which will be parked at Eat’n Park restaurants throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Guests can purchase tickets for $2 and all proceeds benefit the Caring for Kids Campaign. One winning ticket will be drawn at the end of the campaign in December.
“Caring for Kids started in 1979 as a team member initiative, and we’re proud to say it’s still team-driven today,” said Trina DeMarco, Director of Corporate Giving and Community Partnerships, Eat’n Park Restaurants. “Funds raised through the campaign stay in the community where they are donated, ensuring that it is truly a local and community-focused campaign. It’s an exciting year for us as we’re on track to hit a very important milestone this year—$10 million for our local children’s hospitals.”
“Caring for Kids benefits families throughout our region, and because many of Neighborhood Ford Store dealerships are family-run, we are especially proud to partner with Eat’n Park for this program,” said Kathleen Wagler, chairwoman of Neighborhood Ford Store. “I know for many of us, the Caring for Kids kickoff really begins our holiday season each year.”
